Colaiste Chineal Eoghain invite


The Parent’s Committee of Coláiste Chineál Eoghain, Inishowen’s Buncrana-based, all-ability meánscoil, is inviting the parents of Gaelscoil and National school children (of all ages) to a Meet and Greet Evening next Monday night. June 8th.

PRO, Joleen Yeoman said: “The Meet and Greet Evening is an informal opportunity for the parents of prospective Coláiste Chineál Eoghain students to visit the school, in Tullyarvan Mill. It will take place on Monday, June 8, at 7.30pm and is open to everyone. It will give parents a chance to hear about the considerable achievements of past pupils and the school’s curricular and extra-curricular activities. They can also chat over any concerns they may have about Irish medium education. Light refreshments will be available.”

Congratulations to Chrystelle Strain, Gortcormican, Brae Road, and Christopher Moore, Newtowncunningham, who were married in St. Aengus’ Church, Burt.

Burt Bingo Committee thanks all who supported its recent event and gave raffle prizes. A fantastic 440 euro was raised for the St Aengus’ Church restoration Fund. Weekly Burt bingo takes place every Tuesday, at 9pm, in St Mary’s Hall.

The Irish Cancer Society Annual Church Gate Collection takes place this Saturday and Sunday. Please give generously.

Lauren and Lisa Ferguson are hosting a Coffee Morning and Cake Sale in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall tomorrow from 11am to 1pm, in aid of their Exodus team, which is going to Hungary and Spain. Everyone is welcome.

Inishowen Beekeepers meet on Monday, June 8, in the Strand Hotel, Ballyliffin.

A Clothing Collection, in aid of St Patricks Kitui, Kenya will take place on Tuesday, June 9, at St Mura’s Church car park, from 9am to 12 noon.

The AGM of Fahan Meals on Wheels will take place on Wednesday, June 10, at 8pm, in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall. New drivers are needed.

St Mura’s Church of Ireland, Fahan is holding an afternoon tea and cake sale in the Parish Hall, which is opposite the old Roneragh Hotel, on Saturday, June 13, from 2pm to 5pm. Everyone welcome.

Fr Frank Lynch will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood on Wednesday, June 17, in St Mary’s Church, Castlefin, at 7pm with light refreshments afterwards.
