A two-mile run/walk is scheduled to take place on Boxing Day, organised by The Rotary Club of Limavady.
The ‘Cold Turkey Trot’, over a two-mile course, starts at 12 noon from the Roe Valley Country Park Visitors’ Centre.
“Bring the children, bring the dog, come out and get some fresh air in the finest Country Park in the land,” said Peter Jack. “All proceeds are for Jaipur Limb, a fantastic organisation in India which fits amputees with prosthetic limbs. Every £30 raised provides a limb for a person in India who has lost one through accident or disease. The run on Boxing Day will not be too serious. It’s all about raising funds for a good cause and having a bit of fresh air. Entry is £3 for under 18’s, £5 for anyone over 18 and £10 per family.”
The Rotary Club thank the Country Park and its staff, and Noel Mullan whose café. Call Mr Jack on 028 777 22617.
