Community notes for Muff

Saturday 26th April saw the highly anticipated Muff Community Park 5k Run/Walk take place in the village. The event was organised by Muff Community Development and was sponsored by Zest Fitness


Run under the expert eyes of the Inishowen Athletics Club, the

Muff Community Park 5k Fun Run/Walk and mile-long Juvenile race witnessed 163 people from across the peninsula and further afield take part to support the community park in its fundraising effort.

Muff Community Development would like to thank its committee,

staff and volunteers for their hard work and supplying of

refreshments, but most importantly to the people who took part to support Muff Community Play Park .

The Time on your hands programme will take place in Muff Community Hall on Tuesday 13th May Line Dancing 2-4pm

There will be A Ceili in St.Mary’s Community Hall organised by TheMuff

Ceili Club this Friday night 9th May. Dancing from

9.00pm-12 Midnight, Music by the Duntally Ceili Band. Admission 5 Euro

including supper

An upcoming event is a concert by the UU choir to Carndonagh on the

8th May at 8.00pm.

The winners in this month’s Quigley’s Point Swifts ‘100’ Club were 1st 350 Euro Brid Gallagher, Grove Cottages 2nd 150 Euro Annette McColgan, Kilderry, Muff, 3rd 75 Euro Shaun Bradley, Craig

Park, Muff., they wish to thank everyone for their support.

The next draw will be held at the Fun Football on Saturday 7th June

.The club is holding their annual ‘Night at the Races’ on

Friday 16th June at 9.30pm in the Squealing Pig.

Horses on sale from committee members and the team, priced at 10 Euro.

Anyone wishing to sponsor a race can do so for a minimum of 30 Euro

All support for this important fundraiser greatly accepted.


Iskaheen tonight Friday at 7.30pm will be offered for Louis Lynch and Willie Grant on their anniversaries.

The morning Mass to-morrow Saturday is in Iskaheen as the children from Culmore Parish will be receiving their First Holy Communion at a Mass in the Sacred Heart Church , Muff at 11.00am..

Please note the Spanish class is finished for the season, but the Irish Language class continues every Tuesday


Community Bingo every Saturday night in St.Mary’s Community Hall at 9.15pm your continued support is appreciated.
