Derry's Destined project has won the Access to Citizenship -Lottery Award 2010
Foyle MP Mark Durkan said he was delighted to hear that Destined won this prestigious award.
"We should all be inspired by the way in which this outstanding local organisation helped to unite the entire community to deliver this great success.
"Everyone involved in this exceptional campaign should be rightly proud of themselves today."
Sinn Fein MLA Martina Anderson said: "I would like to congratulate everyone at the Destined project in Derry on winning the Access to Citizenship -Lottery Award 2010 .A massive effort was put in over the last few weeks by everyone at the project and the people of Derry and Donegal who voted for them," she said.
"I have met with the members, volunteers and staff of Destined on a number of occasions and had the privilege earlier this year of attending their AGM along with the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness. I have been extremely impressed with what they are doing and empowering people with disabilities.
