One of Ireland’s most popular bands, Bell X1, are to play an instore concert at Cool Discs, Foyle Street, next Wednesday, July 10 at 7pm. The gig is being held to celebrate the release of their latest album, ‘Chop Chop.’

The Irish Times dubbed the album, Bell X1’s sixth studio release, as: “The best album of their career.”

While that statement perhaps fails to completely recognise the brilliance of former efforts, ‘Tour De Flock,’ ‘Bloodless Coup’ or their live album ‘Field Recordings’ few will argue this is anything other than Bell X1 at their captivating best. Derry Bellies fans, who pre-order the album from the Foyle Street store, will receive an invite to the live in-store performance. Tickets are limited, so to ensure you get your hands on one, the advice from Cool Discs is: “Get your pre-order in ‘chop chop!’

Cool Discs has a rich tradition of ‘in-stores’ and have previously featured artists such as David Gray and The Frames not to mention a wealth of local talent. Proprietor, Lee Mason, has promised more in-stores throughout the year: “It’s always a pleasure to put stuff like this on in the shop, and in my experience these gigs are always special moments for fans of the band or music heads in general.”

‘Chop Chop’ is available now.
