Sinn Féin Councillor for the Greater Shantallow area Tony Hassan has said residents of Cornshell Fields are demanding that roads in the development are resurfaced as a matter of urgency.

Colr Hassan said the people in the area want to see the matter urgently addressed:

“A number of residents in the Cornshell Fields have been in contact with me about the state of roadways in the development.

They have said to me that the development has been up for many years now and they feel that they have been forgotten about when it comes to the likes of roads being resurfaced.

“I have visited the area and the roadways are in a very bad state so I believe it is incumbent on the likes of Transport NI (formerly Roads Service) to carry out an immediate inspection and get this area on the their priority list.”
