The countdown is on to the final of Dance Fever in Limavady, an annual charity event that hopes to reach its target of raising £100,000 this year.
‘Dance Fever’ holds events to raise money with proceeds split between chosen seven charities. Angela Miller Linton, one of the people behind the growing annual charity programme, told the ‘Journal’ that since the first ever event in 2011, Dance Fever has raised £84,000.
“Dance Fever is on its last few weeks now and the pressure is on the teams to collect their points along the way,” said Angela. “All support given is gratefully appreciated. Events this weekend include an Under 18s disco at Limavady Football Club on October 2nd at 8.30-10.30pm; a Night At The Races at Drummond Cricket Club on October 2nd (first race 8pm). A fashion show will be held on October 5th at 7.15pm at Drummond Cricket Club. Admission £5. Tickets for the finale go on sale from October 16 at The Rec Club Du Pont, priced at £10.
