Creggan Collective issue appeal for food donations for families
The Creggan Community Collective have issued an appeal to local people to donate food items to be used to help others in need this Christmas.
A spokesman for the local community organisation said that the annual collection will go towards helping those who may be struggling to make ends meet at this difficult time.
He said: “We are appealing for donations of tinned meat/fish/fruit/soups, rice, pasta, sauces, cereals, teabags, coffee etc. We would encourage people to put an extra item or two in their shopping to help those less fortunate.
“Item can be left at Creggan Community Collective office, Unit R3D Rathmor Business Park, or if anyone feels they could avail of assistance from this appeal contact us on 71360449.”
