Daryl O’Hagan, of Moore Street, pleaded guilty to possession of class B and class C drugs and resisting police on June 25.

The local Magistrate’s Court heard the 26-year-old threw the drugs into the middle of a roundabout as police approached him.

The small amounts of cannabis and diazepam were for his own personal use.

Defence counsel Stephen Chapman said his client was consuming the drugs to deal with mental health issues.
