A 28-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of sexual assault.
The defendant cannot be named to protect the identity of the complainant.
He is charged with sexual assault on April 3, last year.
The court heard the alleged injured party is related to the defendant.
Defence solicitor Keith Kyle accepted there was a case for his client to answer.
The defendant declined to call any evidence on his own behalf or to call any witnesses.
He was released on his own bail of £500 and ordered to have no contact with the complainant.
The defendant is also banned from entering the city except to attend scheduled court appearances.
He will appear in court again on July 7.
