A 39-year-old man denied a number of sex offences when he appeared at a hearing at Derry Crown Court this week.
The man, whose details cannot be published to protect the identity of his alleged victim, pleaded not guilty to rape and attempted rape.
The 39-year-old also denied six charges of indecently assaulting a female child, incitement to commit gross indecency and common assault.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between September 1, 1985 and November 24, 1999. Derry Crown Court was told the complainant is now in her 30s. The trial, which is expected to last five to six days, has been listed for hearing on September 30. The defendant was released on continuing bail and will appear in court at a later date.
