A 55-year-old man has appeared in court accused of stealing £30,000.
Martin O’Brien, of Rossnagalliagh Park, faces one charge of theft between July 1, 2010 and May 31, 2013.
He is further charged with fraud by abuse of position and possessing a cash receipt for Orchard Care Homes Ltd for use in fraud.
During a brief hearing at the local Magistrate’s Court, O’Brien confirmed he was aware of the charges against him.
He declined to say anything in answer to them or to call any evidence on his own behalf.
Defence solicitor Leonie Keegan accepted there was a case for her client to answer.
The 55-year-old was released on bail to appear at the Crown Court on February 9.
