Admits charity theft

A former assistant manager of a Cancer Research UK shop has admitted stealing money from the charity.

Natasha Ferguson, of Fergleen Park, pleaded guilty to fraud by abuse of position and theft by an employee.

The offences were committed between March and July, last year.

It is alleged the 27-year-old processed false refunds and stole £636.

Sentencing was adjourned for a probation pre-sentence report to be compiled.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said full restitution would be available for the next court hearing.

Ferguson will appear in court again on February 20.
