A man has been left with a serious injury to his leg after being assaulted while making his way home from a house party in Derry.
The man was attacked sometime between 2:30am and 3am on October 6 but details are only being made public now.
“A man was walking back from a house party when he was attacked by another male sometime between 2.30am and 3am,” a PSNI spokeswoman said.
“The victim has been receiving treatment for a serious leg injury. The culprit was part of a bigger group and police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and could help with their enquiries.”
