CS spray used in schoolboy arrest

PSNI officers used CS spray during an incident in which a 14 year-old boy was arrested at a Derry school on Tuesday.

The schoolboy was arrested at Oakgrove Integrated College, Gransha Road, on Tuesday afternoon.

The school’s principal, Jill Markham, confirmed the incident took place at the school but refused to make any further comment.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said; “A 14 year old male was arrested at premises on the Gransha Road area on Tuesday afternoon (7th). He was released on bail pending further enquiries.”

“CS Spray was used,” the police spokesperson added.
