The 16-year-old was arrested two hours later and police started to interview him yesterday afternoon.

The officer said police require a further 24 hours to question the teen as there are a number of witness statements that need to be put to him.

He added that forensic examinations at the scene are ongoing and the post mortem on Mr Quinn is expected to take place this morning.

Defence solicitor Mark Reid objected to the application for a further 24 hours, stating that 12 hours would be ‘sufficient’.

The judge granted the application for police to question the teen until 10:32am tomorrow morning.
