The man whose house was shot at in Currynierin last week has appeared in court accused of breaching a non-molestation order.

Kieron Brian Coyle, of Whitethorn Drive, is accused of breaching the court order on four separate occasions in September.

An investigating officer told Derry Magistrates Court he believed he could connect the 43-year-old to the charges.

Defence solicitor Ciaran McGuinness said the offences are denied.

The solicitor asked the court not to impose a residence condition on his client’s bail.

He revealed that a number of shots were fired at Coyle’s Currynierin home last week.

The 43-year-old was released on bail and banned from contacting the alleged injured party and from entering the Strabane Old Road.

He will appear in court again on November 6.
