A local solicitor has appeared in court accused of false accounting.
Damien McDaid, of Templegrove, faces 61 charges of false accounting between July 2010 and January 2012.
It is alleged the 42-year-old made falsified documents to the Legal Services Commission relating to hours he worked on cases.
During a brief hearing, McDaid declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence on his own behalf.
Defence counsel Ivor McAteer accepted there is a case for his client to answer.
McDaid was released on his own bail of £500 to appear at the crown court for arraignment on November 16.
A defence application for two counsel to represent 42-year-old was granted by District Judge Barney McElholm.
