A woman who was disorderly in the public enquiry office of the local police station has received a suspended sentence.
Sheree Elizabeth Ann Murphy, whose address was given as Benbradagh Avenue, Limavady, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour in Strand Road police station on January 10.
Derry Magistrates Court heard the 26-year-old is in breach of three suspended sentences for similar offences.
The court was told that Murphy went into the enquiry office and became abusive.
She then punched a reinforced glass partition and was arrested.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said his client has an ‘extremely relevant record’.
He added that by punching the reinforced window she was likely to do more harm to herself than anything else.
District Judge Barney McElholm suspended a one month sentence for a year.
However, he warned Murphy ‘my patience with you will not last forever’.
