A man has been assaulted after refusing to give up his mobile phone in Derry in the hours after the Halloween celebrations.
The man was approached by two men as he walked along Northland Road at around 6.40am on Sunday.
Police said that it was reported that the two unknown males asked the victim for his mobile phone.
When he refused to hand the phone over, he was then assaulted.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information about the incident to contact officers in Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
