Emmett Thomas McBay, of Crawford Square, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour and assaulting police on May 26.

Derry Magistrate’s Court spoke to McBay following an assault and he had blood on his face.

He refused to tell police what happened, stating ‘f*** off’ and attempted to push past the officers.

The 32-year-old was arrested and spat ‘bloodied saliva’ at an officer, hitting him on the leg. He also spat blood inside a police vehicle.
