A man who shouted obscenities after he was refused entry to a bar has been fined at the local magistrates court.
Michael Patrick Duffy, of Roskeen Park, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour on March 28.
Derry Magistrate’s Court heard police were called to The Diamond and the 30-year-old was being restrained.
He was shouting and was overheard saying ‘f*****’, ‘f****t’ and a number of other obscenities.
Duffy continued to shout and swear. He was offering to fight door staff and was being aggressive.
Paddy MacDermott defending said his client had too much to drink on this night.
He added that the 30-year-old was the victim of a serious assault over a year ago and
this has ‘affected him deeply’.
District Judge Peter King fined Duffy £300.
