It wasn’t even up two weeks when it was stolen.
Residents of Glack finally got a sign telling people they had arrived in the hamlet, outside Ballykelly, but last week it was taken.
SDLP Councillor Orla Beattie said people are disappointed that something they were so excited about has been snatched.
“I’m really disappointed for the people of Glack, who were so proud of the sign,” she said. “I am in the process of trying to get directional signs for Glack from Ballykelly from the Roads Service and I’m concerned this may have an impact on that process. It’s difficult to approach Roads Service when the sign isn’t there.”
Colr Beattie said whoever is behind the disappearance of the sign, Glack just wants it back.
“Whether it was taken as a prank or by someone who collects signs, we just want it returned to Glack,” she said.
Anyone who knows where the sign is should contact Colr. Beattie, return it to her house, or take it to Limavady Borough Council offices.
