Intelligence op leads to drug seizure and arrest in Derry


Illegal drugs worth in the region of £20,000 have been seized in Derry.

The drugs were found in a flat in the Foyle Road area of the city on Monday night.

Police said officers from the Foyle City West Neighbourhood Policing Team made the discovery.

Class A, B and C drugs were seized at the scene and a 29-year-old man was arrested.

Police have confirmed that he remains in custody this morning.

Sergeant Ray Wilson, the team leader, said the search was part of an intelligence-led operation.
