A Limavady man has appeared in court charged in connection with the robbery of a woman in the town.

Brian O’Hagan, of Sperrin Road, appeared at Derry Magistrates Court earlier this week charged with the robbery of a glasses case on December 17.

The 21-year-old faces four further charges of theft relating to alleged incidents on December 19.

A co-accused, 18-year-old Callum Jason Peter Blackwell, of Meadowvale Park, Limavady, is accused of theft and burglary on the same date.

District Judge Barney McElholm released both defendants on their own bail of £300 and ordered to abide by a curfew.

They are also banned from contacting the alleged injured party, from entering Limavady town centre and from consuming no-prescribed drugs.

The judge warned the defendants if there is any breach of bail they will be remanded in custody.

O’Hagan and Blackwell will appear in court again on January 15.
