Link between three burglaries being investigated by police

Detectives are investigating a link between three burglaries of homes in Derry and Castlederg.

Detective Sergeant Richard Donnell said that it was reported that sometime between 1pm on Sunday and 12pm on Tuesday of this week, entry was forced into a house in the Cavan Road area of Castlederg and it was ransacked. Two further burglaries were reported in the Rossdowney Park and Farmhill areas of Derry between 5.20pm and 7.45pm on Tuesday. Cash and jewellery were taken from one of the homes.

He added: “Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, police are investigating a link between these incidents. The criminals who perpetrate this sort of crime have no regard for the sanctity of people’s homes or property.”
