A 40-year-old man has been found guilty of raping and sexually abusing his sister.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was convicted of ten sex offences after a week long trial at Derry Crown Court.
They included charges of rape, attempted rape, indecent assault and incitement to commit gross indecency between January 1989 and August 1995.
The jury of seven women and three men deliberated for two and a half hours before reaching their verdicts.
They unanimously convicted the 40-year-old of three charges of indecent assault and reached majority verdicts of nine to one on the other charges.
The man showed no emotion when the verdicts were read out by the jury foreperson. A number of family members of the defendant and the victim were in the public gallery and wept.
The defendant was remanded in custody for pre-sentence reports to be compiled. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register.
He will appear in court again on November 11.
