A 35-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of rape.
James Frickleton, of no fixed abode, is charged with rape and sexual assault.
The charges relate to an alleged incident on October 19, last year.
During a brief hearing at the city’s Magistrate’s Court, Frickleton declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley accepted there was a case for his client to answer.
The 35-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in court again for arraignment on June 18.
