A man who stole perfume testers worth one pence has been warned if he shoplifts again he will go to prison.

District Judge Barney McElholm gave the warning to 44-year-old Keith Timothy Shanahan as he appeared at the local magistrates

Shanahan, who has addresses in Larne and Letterkenny, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft on November 22 and November 26.

Derry Magistrates Court heard he went into Boots in the Crescent Link area on two separate occasions and stole testers.

The court heard the value of these testers was one pence.

jail you’.

He also said that compensation was not required.
