Man arrested in Derry by detectives probing attempted murder of PSNI officer

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Derry this morning by detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch investigating the attempted murder of police at Ballyarnett Village in October 2014.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

The man was later released after questioning and a report will be forwarded to the PPS.
