A 41-year-old man who admitted a ‘senseless act’ of damage has been given a three year conditional discharge.
Paul Laird, of Allen Park, Dunamanagh, pleaded guilty to damaging two cars on May 8, last year.
Derry Magistrates Court heard the cars were owned by a ‘lifelong friend’ and almost £1,300 worth of damage was caused.
Defence solicitor Eoghan Devlin said this offence was a ‘senseless act carried out in drink’.
The judge also ordered Laird to pay £250 compensation.
