Man in court after discovery of Derry cannabis factory

A man is due to appear in court in Derry this morning after drugs worth almost £30,000 was discovered in the city’s Waterside.

The 35-year old has been charged with a number of offences including criminal damage, handling stolen goods and another 10 offences including cultivating cannabis and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

It is understood the charges come following a PSNI search of a property in the Kilfennan area of the Waterside yesterday and the discovery of a cannabis factory and of controlled drugs with a street value of some £27,000
