Man kicked unconscious in city centre


A man has been kicked unconscious in Derry city centre.

Police say the man was attacked near the library on Foyle Street at around 2am on Sunday.

“The victim was knocked to the ground and kicked about the head and upper body and knocked unconscious. It is believed that up to four assailants were involved,” a PSNI spokesman said.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital, but was later discharged.
