A pensioner has appeared in court accused of indecently assaulting a girl more than twenty years ago.
The 77-year-old faces three charges of indecently assaulting the girl between March 22, 1984 and March 24, 1986.
He cannot be named because of the “nature of the relationship” between him and the alleged injured party.
The pensioner declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley accepted there was a prima facie case for his client to answer.
The pensioner was released on his own bail of £400 and will appear at the Crown Court for arraignment on May 23.
