Police appeal after armed robbery

Three men brandishing a knife, hammer and a suspected gun have robbed a shop in Derry.

Police say the robbery took place last night (Dec 6) at a shop in the Gt James Street area of the city.

A PSNI spokeswoman says three males entered the premises at approximately 8:45pm.

“One man was armed with a suspected firearm, one had a hammer and the third had a knife. A sum of money and a mobile phone were taken.

“No one was injured during this incident, however the member of staff was left badly shaken.”

She says all males were approximately 5’11” in height with their faces partially covered.
