Police appeal for information after city centre assault


Police at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a man in the city centre.

Constable Bell, the investigating officer, said the incident occurred between 12.45am and 1.15am on Sunday, February 8, outside a nightclub at Bank Place.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a head injury and a 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing GBH. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
