Police appeal for more info over Everglades robbery

Detectives in Derry are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Everglades Hotel on the Prehen Road on the evening of Sunday, 12 July.

At around 6.05pm it was reported that an unknown male, carrying a suspected firearm, entered the premises and threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash.

Detective Sergeant Brian Reid is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have seen any person or vehicle acting suspiciously in the area to contact Detectives at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

He is particularly keen to speak with anyone who saw a white coloured Volkswagen Passat in the area of the hotel at the time of the robbery. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
