Police probe Derry arson attacks

Police in Derry have appealed for information after two vehicles were targetted by arsonists.

In the first incident a car was burned out in the Ardfoyle area of the city.

A PSNI spokeswoman says the car was set alight at approximately 10.45pm last night (August 23).

She says no one was injured but the car was completely burnt out during the incident.

Meanwhile a lorry parked in the Rossville Street area was also burned out in the early hours of this morning.

“At approximately 2.00am it was reported that youths had set the cab of a lorry alight. The cab was completely burnt out. No one was hurt during the incident. Another lorry also sustained a broken window and dents to panels,” the police spokeswoman says..
