Police probe Derry burglaries

Police at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about two burglaries.

Inspector Sam Shearer said that at about 2.15pm on Wednesday, 9th, a resident returned to her home at Stoney Wood in the Prehen area to find it had been broken into. A quantity of jewellery was stolen.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw unusual or suspicious activity or vehicles in the area.

Meanwhile, shortly after midnight on Wednesday, police received a report that a 50-inch TV, an Xbox and a PlayStation had been stolen form a flat at Donal Casey Court.

Police are keen to hear about anyone seen carrying items such as these in the area.
