Vandals have forced the closure of Dove House in Derry’s Bogside after damaging the disabled access ramp into the building.
Sinn Féin Foyle MLA Maeve McLaughlin said the damage over the weekend was the second attack in the last week.
She said those responsible were robbing the local area of a valuable community services.
“Last weekend we had damage to railings at the front doorway, now there has been damage done to the disabled ramp and walkway making the entrance to the building unsafe and therefore staff had to take the decision to close the building today.
“The continued attacks on this vital community facility just seem to be relentless and are having a terrible impact on the staff there being able to provide the many services they do.
“There is also a cost each time these acts of criminal damage are carried out and that cannot go on indefinitely without impacting on the budgets of the services provided,” she said.
