Woman accused of assaulting father

A woman has appeared in court accused of assaulting her father.

Katrina Deery, of Virginia Court, faces one charge of common assault which relates to an alleged incident on June 30.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott told Derry Magistrate’s Court his client denied the charge.

The case was adjourned for a full file to be obtained by the Public Prosecution Service.

The 24-year-old was released on bail to appear in court again on August 17.

Deery is banned from contacting her father and from consuming alcohol.
