Cruising for '˜a worth cause' in Derry
Bikers will roar into the Diamond, clad in their best tweeds for the global event - The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR).
The global charity ride is set to take off in hundreds of cities across dozens of countries to raise awareness and fund research for prostate cancer, including Derry and Dublin.

Hide AdEvent organisers say their “mission is to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and suicide prevention programs on behalf of The Movember Foundation”.
Derry man, Michael Taylor is involved in the Derry event.
“It’s a massive event and it’s huge in places like London, and cities across America,” said Michael. “It for a really worthy cause.”
Michael hopes the event will generate more awareness about prostate cancer and mental health.
The 35-40 minute event starts from the Diamond at 3.30pm on Sunday, 25th September. The route takes in the Craigavon Bridge, Limavady Road and the Foyle Bridge.

Hide AdThere will be a chance for a refreshment at Cafe Roco on the way back, where Michael says they plan to chat about mental health and prostate cancer.
So far, 20 people have registered, but Michael hopes there will be double the number on the day.
“The event is open to everyone and we want owners of classic and vintage styled bikes on Sunday September 25th. WE ask that people dress up in their best gear on the day,” says Michael, who added he’ll be in his tweeds and donning a bow tie.
