Limavady solicitor, David Brewster has been re-elected as President of the Roe Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s annual general meeting.
President David Brewster paid tribute to the late Brian Brown who had been a stalwart of the Chamber.
“He noted that there had been an influx of new members to the committee, and this had meant 2014 had seen a somewhat slower start to the Chamber’s year as members took on the burden of filling the very large shoes of some distinguished predecessors,” said a spokesperson.
“However, by December, members could look back on some solid achievements, including a successful Christmas programme. Chamber had been quick to recognise the implications of local council reorganisation, and would continue to fight Limavady’s corner in the new council, but work had already begun on coordinating efforts with the other Chambers on matters of mutual benefit.”
Other positions elected at Thursday’s meeting included vice president Rose-Marie Jenkins; secretary Eileen Gamble; treasurer Kathleen McCaul, and PRO James Simpson.
