Death of Neil McLaughlin

The death has taken place of Neil McLaughlin, Culkeeny,Malin. Neil who was 95 died peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 14th. He was the much loved husband of Mary B. and father to Neil Anthony, Seamus, Dan and Marjorie.

He will be greatly missed. His Requiem Mass was celebrated by Fr. Brian Brady P.P. Malin in St. Patrick's Church Aughaclay, Malin. The lessons were read by his son Dan and daughter Marjorie. His niece Eileen, grandson Anthony and granddaughter Shona read the prayers of the faithful and the gifts were presented by sons Neil Anthony and Seamus and his son-in-law Joe. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Mary B, sons and daughter, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and to his sister Mary Ann and to his extended family and friends. Good Morning Inishowen is a new and free Telephone Link Line Service for Older People in the Inishowen Area (Those aged 65 years and above). Telephone calls are made to Older People on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 until 1pm. Older people who choose to

avail of the service will receive a telephone call at a time decided by them. The main aim of the telephone call is to ensure the older person is safe and well in their own home and to help the older person with any enquiries they might have. A ceili mor will be held in St. Patrick's Hall Malin Town on Friday 9th February in aid of Ublereagh National School. Dancing from 10pm to 1am to the Cottage Ceili Band. Supper will be served and admission is 5 euro.

Malin GAA With the new season rapidly approaching Malin have elected to enter the 2007 Ulster Senior Club league, an excellent warm up for the year ahead. Malin, who along side fellow Inishowen club Buncrana are Donegal's only clubs in the competition, are drawn

in Group G with Derrylaughan and Moy from Co Tyrone, Brookeborough from Co Fermanagh, Ballinascreen from Co. Derry and Cargin from Co Antrim, the 2006 Antrim champions. This is a great opportunity for the new senior management team of Pat McLaughlin, Vincy McColgan and James Kelly to prepare the side for this year's county league campaign, the senior and reserve sides begin training this Friday at 6-30pm. U-16 training begins Wednesday 24th January at the GAA centre in Malin from 7-30pm.

The annual dinner dance takes place in the Malin Hotel on tomoorow night when the special guest will be new Donegal chairman Sean Kelly from the St Nauls club in Mountcharles. Music is by Shunie and Hugh P and tickets are priced at E20. Senior/reserve players should contact Danny Lafferty (9379985) for tickets.
