Craziness wouldn’t be a characteristic that you would typically bestow on any normal CEO. However, on this occasion, it is a pretty apt description for Learning Pool boss Paul McElvaney.
You see, Paul will be tackling a 100-mile cycle across the gruelling hills of Inishowen on May 9 in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation and Foyle Search & Rescue.
The two life-changing charities’ work is very close to the heart of the Learning Pool team as well as resonating with people across Donegal and Derry.
The punishing route is set to test every ounce of Paul’s stamina and determination.
He explained: “Training for the Inishowen 100 has been tough and what keeps me going is seeing the donations come flooding in for two wonderful charities.”
For every £1 donated to the charities, Learning Pool will match it.
Leaving from Moville, cyclists will travel over Mamore Gap, through Malin Head before coming back through the leg busting climb above Kinnego Bay.
