Derry author Colm Herron has been invited to read some of his work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival later today.

Retired Rosemount P.S. teacher Colm has written three novels, ‘For I Have Sinned’, ‘Further Adventures with James Joyce’ and ‘The Fabricator’.

“I’m especially pleased to be appearing at the Fringe because it’s the biggest arts festival in the world - I am over the moon,” said Colm.

The venue for Colm’s first set of readings is Word Power Books, a frequent haunt of ‘Trainspotting’ author Irvine Welsh and Booker prize winner James Kelman.

“Irvine Welsh and James Kelman both love to hear other writers reading and discussing their work and both are scheduled to be present when I’m doing my readings.”

Colm will also read some of his work at Story Shop before he is interviewed about his novels for Edinbrugh TV.
