Adam McIntyre (14) has received positive feedback online and in person from many people saying he has brightened up their day.

Adam posts regular vlogs about his daily life and adventures with friends, comedy videos, challenges and gaming videos, and is one of a number of accomplished young vloggers from the city who are proving a big hit online.

He currently has an impressive active and growing YouTube following of over 2,500 subscribers to his channel, which is named ‘Adam McIntyre’.

The St Columb’s College Year 10 pupil has been vlogging since 2010 but recently revamped his account. He said: “I love documenting my life so I’m always able to know what I did that day and who I was with and what we were doing.”

Adam said he loves the process and interaction involved in being a YouTuber.

“I love it, filming and editing is such a passion for me and initially it was just for my friends to see, then other people started watching and it’s just grew from there.

“I like voicing my opinion and using the platform for that, whatever the topic.

“Reading comments is probably my favourite thing, connecting with the people who enjoy my videos is the best thing ever and some days I’ll be out in town with friends and people will come up to me and say how my videos have made them happy during a sad period of time and that’s the best feeling.”

Speaking about the support from his family, he said: “They love it, they watch my videos all the time. They actually bought me my camera, they have been supportive since the first video.”

He added: “I hope to continue making videos for a long time, I love it a lot, it’s so much fun and to know other people are loving it is even better.”
