Dissident grouping claim Bishop Street bomb

Dissident republican grouping Óglaigh na hÉireann say they were behind the 50 kg car bomb left in a car park on Bishop Street close to the courthouse on Sunday night.

The group claimed responsibility for the Derry bomb in a statement to a Belfast newsroom and for a coffee jar bomb which was thrown at police in west Belfast on Monday morning.

In August 2010 the group also claimed responsibility for a 200lb car bomb attack on Strand Road PSNI station in Derry.
