Donegal TV’s timing for a launch on a Sky channel could not have been better timed, with the county reaching the All-Ireland football final.
This gave the channel, headed by Shane Wallace, a chance to show off its quality with a series of exclusive interviews with staff and players.
The Donegal TV programmes which are available via the Sky platform on new Sky Channel 266, launched on September 15.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash at Croke Park, Donegal TV had exclusive interviews from Donegal’s minor and senior camps, including Jim McGuinness, Michael Murphy, Rory Kavanagh, Frank McGlynn, Neil and Eamon McGee, Declan Bonner, Niall Harey, and Stephen McBrearty. The programme can be viewed again tomorrow and Saturday.
British based Canis Media CEO Clare Bramley is enthusiastic about the new partnership, saying: “Donegal TV is now an established brand name and the programmes they have produced to date have been of the highest quality. We look forward to working with them in the long term and to showcase Donegal to a worldwide audience and we wish the Donegal senior and minors the best of luck.”
Donegal TV also broadcasts on Today’s Ireland, which reaches over 50m USA homes.
