Drugs worth £125K seized from cannabis factory in Limavady

Police have uncovered a substantial cannabis factory in Limavady, and seized drugs worth an estimated £125,000.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Following a proactive operation today, police searched a house in the Limavady area and uncovered a substantial cannabis factory.

“Herbal cannabis with an estimated value of £125,000 was seized along with other drugs paraphernalia.

“Two men, aged 46 and 53 have been arrested. Both are currently helping police with their enquiries.”

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gillis said: “Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch are committed to tackling illegal drugs and other criminal activities and in keeping communities safe. I continue to appeal to members of the public to come forward with any information about the supply or use of illegal drugs or criminal activity.
